2 Visits Per Year: The Smart Way To Care For Your Mouth

To make sure that your teeth are properly looked after, as well as a daily brushing and flossing routine, we recommend that every six months you should see a professional. With our help we can keep your teeth and gums free of plaque and disease and there will be no need for fillings and no potential for chronic bad breath. If you do experience a problem like bleeding gums when you brush or you have discoloured or loose or crooked teeth we have the skills to help you and make that a thing of the past. We are also trained in more advanced dental work such as dental implants, root canal treatments, complex reconstructions and orthodontics. You can receive all of your treatment at the one location. Once you begin your twice-a-year visits you inevitably find that they become shorter and require much less work, maybe just some plaque removal and a clean.

It’s a simple and value for money way to keep your lovely smile!

Gum Disease

If you have any of the following conditions you could be suffering from a form of gum disease:
  • Swollen and sore gums which are red in colour
  • Bad taste in the mouth
  • Bleeding while brushing or flossing
  • Gums that have separated from the teeth
  • Loose teeth or teeth that are drifting apart
  • Chronic bad breath
Gum disease is the most common cause of tooth loss and is most commonly Gingivitis or the more serious Periodontitis. Because there is little oral discomfort, gum disease is often ignored until it is too late.
Gingivitis is caused by inadequate brushing and flossing of teeth which allows a build-up of plaque. The bacteria which live in plaque irritate the gums and cause oral infection.
When Gingivitis is left unchecked it can lead to Periodontitis which is a more destructive type of disease. This not only affects the superficial gums it also causes the bone that supports your teeth to recede or dissolve. The result is loose teeth and tooth loss.

Discoloured Teeth

Coffee, tea, wine, soft drink and cigarette smoke are some of the causes of the yellowing, discolouring or staining of teeth.
Other contributing factors can include medication, disease, a genetic condition of having duller enamel and even natural aging.
Inner West Dental has a number of solutions available including whitening, bleaching and veneers.

Braces

Braces are the most effective and accurate way of moving and straightening teeth.

At WDental we use the revolutionary DAMON™ system of high technology wires and braces. This system provides a more comfortable level of treatment for the patient and corrects the teeth in a lot less time than other systems.

Invisalign™

You want your teeth straightened but you don’t want the appearance of braces. The answer is Invisalign™ technology.

Using this method we custom-make a set of nearly-invisible aligners for your teeth (no two sets are the same). The aligners are placed between your teeth and every two weeks they are removed and replaced with a new set. Little by little the teeth move until they reach their final position.
